In this lecture, Berlin-based visual artists and professors at Beuth University of Technology Renata Stih and Frieder Schnock discuss art in urban spaces, public interaction, and engagement. In honor of the 25th anniversary of their decentralized memorial Orte des Erinnerns / Places of Remembrance (1993) in Berlin’s Schöneberg neighborhood, Stih and Schnock will touch upon the themes in that seminal work in addition to the ideas behind a variety of their other thought-provoking multimedia art installations. Light refreshments will be served. Co-sponsored by FIU’s Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program and The Wolfsonian.

JMOF regular admission; free for FIU students, faculty, and staff as well as Wolfsonian and JMOF members
