Discovering Design Free Family Day: My Own Textile Town!

What do you love about your city? Is it the sunny skies and the ocean breeze? The palm trees and seagulls? Get inspiration from the Italian textiles of Made in Italy: MITA Textile Design 1926–1976 and create your own tapestry with fabric cut-outs that represent your favorite things about Miami. Then, learn about how Annabelle transforms her town with a magic box of yarn in the story Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen.
