It’s 1939. Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz hold moviegoers under their spell, regular TV broadcasts begin in America, Britain declares war on Germany, two world fairs enchant the masses—and Wolfsonian founder Micky Wolfson is born. Time travel with Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler and Wolfsonian research curator Lea Nickless as they get to the bottom of objects (and classic cocktails!) from the year that changed everything.

Presented in conjunction with Sandler’s Knight Foundation-funded project, Crypt Cracking. Drinks available for purchase.

Free and open to the public | THE RSVP LIST IS FULL! Email programs@thewolf.fiu.edu for wait list.
