Why do cinema's criminals, nemeses, and antagonists always live in swanky digs? In this film-focused talk with Miami Center for Architecture & Design (MCAD) and American Institute of Architects Miami, senior curator Silvia Barisione and Chad Oppenheim, co-author of Lair: Radical Homes and Hideouts of Movie Villains, are examining the sophisticated designs and styles of your favorite silver-screen baddies, unmasking how they reflect an "architecture of persuasion." Moderated by John Stuart from FIU's Miami Beach Urban Studios, the panel will highlight iconic set designs and discuss why evil masterminds have such exemplary—and luxurious—taste.
