Art and real estate collide in this talk by author and designer Andrew Clum. Unpacking the visual strategies used to promote ambitious real estate ventures in 20th-century Miami, Clum shows how creative choices—like emphasizing tropical paradise or exaggerating proximity to the ocean—helped spark the dizzying growth that continues to shape South Florida today. In a presentation that ties into our Aerial Vision exhibition and examines the role of Le Corbusier, Warhol, and other prominent artists, Clum will view Miami's image-based mythology with a critical eye.
