Celebrate FIU art and music students' talent and creativity! This afternoon of new work inspired by our current exhibitions begins with the opening of two pop-up shows: Geo-Graphic (displaying prints responding to pieces in our map-centric Plotting Power show), and Seeing Sound (showcasing posters visualizing the Afro-Cuban music and dance found in Turn the Beat Around). After taking in the art, stay and move your feet to a set by FIU's Latin Jazz Ensemble, which will bring to life classic songs reinterpreted by the student designers while sampling a whole range of musical genres originating in Cuba.
