Citizens, make your voices heard! An upcoming artistic intervention inspired by the language and bureaucracy of local government becomes Agenda Item #1 at this interactive open forum grounded in conceptual art and parafiction. Hear from Department of Reflection (DoR) director misael soto about Bridge Deconstruction, Miami Beach's next major deconstructive infrastructure project, one that builds off of an iconic Wolfsonian streetside landmark, the historic Bridge Tender House / Josephine Baker Pavilion. As DoR and historical officers from its Special Commission on Bridges (instituted in conjunction with FIU's History Department) kick off the public input stage of their multi-phased project with a presentation of findings, be a part of this conversation about municipal inquiry, community place-making, and the often-clunky cogs of civic administration.

Organized with the Department of Reflection and The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab, and sponsored by the Mellon Foundation and the Extreme Events Institute.
