+ 5: Recent Acquisitions from The Wolfsonian Collection

On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, The Wolfsonian organized +5: Recent Acquisitions from The Wolfsonian Collection, an exhibition that showcased the dynamic growth of the collection over the prior five years. +5 featured objects acquired through donation or purchase since the museum’s previous anniversary exhibition, X: A Decade of Collecting.

The continual development of The Wolfsonian’s extraordinary collection is indebted to the many collectors who share the museum’s passion for the art and design of everyday life. Their gifts continually strengthen and broaden the collection’s core themes of design reform, urbanism, travel and transportation, advertising, and political propaganda. In +5, the museum focused on presenting fine and decorative art, architectural elements, books, posters, and printed ephemera.
