Picking up the Pace: Selections from The Wolfsonian Collection

One hundred years after the Manifesto of Futurism celebrated “the beauty of speed,” the world continues to move and evolve at an ever-accelerating pace. Culled from The Wolfsonian’s rare book and ephemera holdings, Picking up the Pace examined speed and its limits in the context of the transportation and workplace revolutions of the twentieth century.

The installation was organized by The Wolfsonian Library in conjunction with The Wolfsonian’s major exhibition Speed Limits.
