Trains, planes, ocean liners, and automobiles! As passengers of the modern age, we have tinkered and tested to master travel by land, air, and sea. Inventions have opened our horizons to allow us to experience every corner and wonder of the globe, from the crystal shores of the Mediterranean to the plains of Africa and sparkling Northern Lights. Today we crisscross the world in ways unimaginable before the 19th century.

Through reproductions of historic Wolfsonian-collection travel posters, this installation at Miami International Airport reflected on the birth of modern travel to help us remember that the world offers an endless itinerary.
